Andrews Nimakohene expressed worry about the unhygienic nature of the water body inhabitants are being exposed to waterborne diseases and therefore called for immediate intervention.

The Atebubu/Amantin Youth for development has threatened to demonstrate if they are not assisted with potable water to forestall an outbreak of the waterborne disease in the area.
According to them, the water problem is affecting the education and health care of the people especially the children.
Speaking at a press conference, Secretary to the Youth Group, Andrews Nimakohene indicated that water is life but their lives are seriously in danger due to lack of potable water in the area.
He said, they drink from the unsafe river with animals, which makes them fall sick and visit the hospital frequently.

To that effect are appealing to the government for help. He said as a matter of urgency they should provide portable drinking water in the area to face their wrath.
