Rolling power outages are still happening in South Africa, according to President Cyril Ramaphosa, but things are slowly but surely changing.

Even though the results may not be seen right away, we are moving forward with the extra initiatives I indicated in July, Mr. Ramaphosa wrote in his weekly newsletter.

The nation is experiencing severe electricity shortages, and Eskom, the government-run energy company, is struggling with a lack of investment amid suspicions of wrongdoing.
