Bawku Skin not in Limbo, If You don't Understand, Go To Court-Minister of Interior.

The Minister of Interior Honourable Ambrose Dery has challenged the good people of Bawku in the Upper West Region who do not understand the Supreme Court ruling over the Bawku Chieftancy dispute in 2003 in favor of Kusasi should go to court for further interpretation.

He said Bawku have only one Chife who is in the person of Zungrainan Asigri Abudarago Azoka II, as lagiment Chife by the Supreme Court of land and those who don't understand shouldn't resort to shooting and the use of the gun to the settle the misunderstanding but should rather go to court for the necessary action than to kill themselves as people.

He made this statement together with Ghana's Inspector General of Police, Akufo Dampare when they paid a courtesy call to the Bawku Naba.

The Interior Minister also made a call to the people of Bawku to live in peace for the development of Bawku.

He said, Bawku Naba is the chief of Bawku by law and has been gazetted, so should try to help the government to bring and maintain peace in the Municipality.

He challenges the Pusiga Chife not to introduce Bawku Naba to him because, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs have made clear to the whole world by a Court ruling, there is only one Bawku Naba Abudarago Azoka II as chief of Bawku and as such, all the people in the area should uphold the dignity of Naba Abudarago Azoka II to help bring peace and unity to the people of Bawku.
