Police disown reported raid on Kenya ex-interior minister
Numerous attorneys allegedly arrived at the apartment after the police officers had already left. The cops had made no comments about the situation.

An alleged Wednesday night raid on the Nairobi house of former interior minister Fred Matiang'i has been denied by the head of Kenya's police force.
Journalists were informed by Inspector General Japhet Koome that no National Police Service personnel were dispatched to the former minister's residence.
On Wednesday, the ex-attorney minister's said that Mr. Matiang'i was sequestered in his home and charged the government with attempting to frame and unjustly accuse his client.
"Neither the police's demands nor his wrongdoings have been made clear. Sam Nyaberi, the attorney, told reporters, "We can not comprehend why the police would come to detain our client in the middle of the night.
Following the tragedy, a number of politicians, including opposition leader Raila Odinga, gathered at the residence for a night vigil.
He said that Mr. Matiangi's residence had been besieged by police and criticized what he called "the return of midnight arrests without charges."
