Phil Foden fires Social Media team
The sack follows a challenging post made after Manchester City's qualification to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Manchester City star Phil Foden has fired his social media team after being left 'furious' by a tweet calling out Kylian Mbappe.
The 20-year-old Englishman score the winner as City beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 on Wednesday to seal a 4-2 aggregate victory and set up a Champions League semi-final with Paris Saint-Germain.
After the game, though, questions were asked of Foden when he appeared to post '@KMbappe are you ready?' with a handshake emoji on his Twitter page – apparently calling out one of the world's best players.
But the message was written by a company that runs the City ace's Twitter account.
It was soon deleted and the young player has now severed ties with his social media admin.
