They members and supporters of the NDC
including the chiefs, quee-mothers and other traditional office holders in the Lower West Akim Constituency made these remarks in an random sample interview with Soireenews. com after Mr Frimpong was cleared by the vetting committee to contest the race.

They stated that pieces of evidence available to them have clearly showed that Mr Frimpong who obtained Number Position on the ballot paper is the biggest threat to the members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the area.

In this background, they pointed out that these elements of the NPP had secretly teamed up with some self seeking individuals of the NDC to plan for disqualification of Mr Frimpong who is their favourite parliamentary candidate from the race "but God be so good that Mr Frimpong has successfully gone through the vetting processes.
According the supporters of the NDC, they were not in support of this wicked agenda of  these elements within the party, stressing that "voting out Mr. Frimpong from the race would be a disaster for the NDC since the party is preparing to win the Lower West Akim parliamentary seat in the 2024 showdown."
They pointed that they it appears clearly that the NDC cannot win the 2024 polls with Mr Adu-Osei recalling that Mr. Adu-Sei who has contested the seat in the 2020 general election lost with 19744 votes to the NPP’s Mr Charles Acheampong who won the seat with 27527 votes.
This massive defeat suffered by Mr Adu-Sei in the 2020 general elections has attested to the fact he has lost with confident with the many electorates, saying it would be disaster for the NDC to allow Mr Adu-Sei to lead the NDC front in the constituency in the 2024 general election.
The NDC faithful (s) told Soireenews.com that they believed that Mr Frimpong is the only best candidate who is capable to lead the NDC in the constituency into the 2024 general elections to wrestle the parliamentary seat from NPP.
According to them, Mr Frimpong vast humanitarian track records and achievements so far in the constituency showed that he has chosen by the delegates and members in the upcoming primary, hence their support of him to lead the party.

The supporters pointed out the dynamics on the ground showed that there was a preference for a chance in leadership, adding that the leadership has not performed to the satisfaction of the electorates.
According to them, the new change must be given to a person who has a lot of experience and among the four candidates, Mr Frimpomg would stand tall.
They indicated that the aims of Mr. Adu-Sei and Mr Mumuni Nuhu were to give chances to the New Patriotic Party to retain the Lower West Akim parliamentary seat in the 2024.
They stated that in an articulation of being feared, worried or frightened of losing the parliamentary seat of the Lower West Akim Constituency the NPP gurus were accused of secretly sponsoring Mumuni Nuhu against Mr Frimpong because he is generally tipped to win the upcoming NDC parliamentary slot to lead the party to win the Lower West Akim seat.
The NPP gurus feared that if Mr Frimpong wins the upcoming primaries, he would definitely wrestle the Lower West Akim parliamentary seat from the NPP in the 2024 general elections.
The NPP was reported to have done series of surveys in Lower West Akim and realized that the majority of eligible voters in the various electoral areas in the constituency have already developed affection for that NDC parliamentary hopeful and have mustered courage to declare their position to vote for him to win the seat from the NPP, if he elected the NDC parliamentary candidate in the primaries.
This situation has informed the decision of the NPP gurus to secretly hire services of these petitioners of the NDC to petition the vetting community to defame this parliamentary hopeful, ostensibly for the vetting committee to disqualify him but their evils plot have been identified and that the concerned NDC faithful(s) vowed that these evils plot of the NPP has failed.

He maintained that "we have not downplayed with the rumors at all, even though we have not gotten any tangible evidence. We have suspected the posture of that person.
