Anokye Frimpong, a lawyer and historian says it will be a bad omen to rename the nation's premium university, University of Ghana after D.J. Danquah.
Given that, he is urging Akufo Addo, President of Ghana to desist from such a move.
There were suggestions by the President to rename the University after D.B. Danquah which had since sparked conversations amongst the citizenry some of whom see nothing wrong with the suggestion while a large majority do.
It is in the same vein that the Historian says it will not augur well for the country should the move be advanced.
Lawyer Anokye Frimpong described Akufo-Addo’s suggestion of renaming the UG after J.B. Danquah as a taboo.
