The Member of Parliament for Offinso North constituency, Hon Collins Ntim has asserted that even though the evidence of the efforts of the New Patriotic Party consoles their reign for the first four years yet innovative campaigning technique is required to repent the minds of many Ghanaians before the polls in December.

He addressed that victory is surely in the hands of the incumbent government, nevertheless, a convincing win in December would inform Ghanaians on which of the political parties have their welfare at heart.

The Deputy Minister of the Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) assured that the New Patriotic Party Executives at Offinso North are putting structures in place to engage a massive scientific intelligent way of campaigning; an approach that will see a massive rise in numbers than there has ever been during elections in the constituency.

The Ashanti Regional NPP Organizer, Francis Adomako, and Mr. Robert Owusu Amankwah on Monday, August 24, 2020,led the inauguration of a 30 member committee team members in the Offinso North Constituency to begin the campaign for the party ahead of the December elections. The team, which is co-chaired, by Hon. Collins Ntim and the District Chief Executive include 17 party executives, IT and Security personnels, Social Media Handlers, Lawyer, Volunteer Groups, and five special people.

“Offinso North constituency will not disappoint Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the upcoming elections,” Hon Collins Ntim said whiles briefing the press.

“Although we have worked very hard since we took over in 2016 yet it is the organization that would decide on the day therefore as part of the strategy, we have the campaign team headed by the chairman (party chairman in the Offinso North constituency) and my good self together with all the executives plus identifiable volunteer groups," he added.

He assured to get the electoral and polling stations involved through training before the necessary logistics are handed over to them. He explained that although the majority are aware of their responsibilities yet the new trend demands the impartation of extra knowledge to decently execute their mandates and refrain from some unsuitable course.

“We have finally sworn them into office and the next line of action is to visit the electoral Areas and polling stations. Majority of the work rests upon them and for the first time, we are constituting electoral area and polling station campaign team to swear them.

“We want this year's campaign to be organized to finally hand over all the necessary logistics to them.

"Finally, they will be given training to understand the role they are playing in the constituency," he underlined.

He acknowledged the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his inspired ideas towards the Offinso North Constituency remarking on the Local Government Development, the Greenhouse, the Diver Vehicle License Authority (DVLA) and the three-storey Assembly structure, which has helped to improve livelihoods in the constituency.

He added that “Offinso North has benefitted through the planting for export and rural development. We chose cashew, maize, and the special rice initiative. It’s a long term planning and everybody feels part of the governance system."

He notified again that all the implementations would be barren if a better campaign policy is not put in place to extend Nana Addo’s term in December.

 “What remains is to preach and make the people conscious about the implementation. We know for sure that victory is ours but it should be immense.
