THE NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Mr Felix Odartey Lamptey, has stated that he is Weija-Gbawe constituents' hope as the one with the magic wand to transform the living conditions of the constituents and make things better.

The NDC firebrand expressed confidence in securing victory in the parliamentary election scheduled for December  Saturday7, 2024 and highlighted his vision to bring the needed development projects and programmes to the various electoral areas in Weija-Gbawe constituency and alleviating the enduring hardships faced by constituents.
He stressed that he is the beacon of hope for Weija-Gbawe constituency and urged eligible voters including supporters and members of the NDC to resist intimidation and external influences and vote massively for him to win the seat from the NPP which has failed the constituents.
“I am more motivated than ever to secure power for the party. Among all the candidates vying for the Weija-Gbawe parliamentary role, who presents a vision more compelling than mine? My aspirations for the NDC and for Weija-Gbawe instill hope, and that’s why hundreds of thousands of NDC faithfuls and grassroots are urging me to press on and fight until I bring power to them. I can’t let them down,” Mr Lamptey affirmed.
According to him, he has been telling the constituents including the grassroot members of the NDC that the power belongs to you", adding that the time had come for them to exercise their power and vote for change in their lives.
“My brother and sisters, we know what are going on in this constituency. We know that you are going through sufferings and hardships. There are no jobs for the teeming youths and people in the  constituency, you don’t have jobs to do, that is why l am calling on you to vote massively for the NDC PC in the person of Felix Odartey Lamptey to snatch the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP in order for me to save the lives of the people,” Mr Lamptey asserted.
These remarks made by Mr Lamptey was contained a two page write up captured by Soireenews.com, for which the NDC PC stressed that he is a new hope for Weija-Gbawe people.
According to him, changes always occur when needs are not met and when the fervent expectations of those who have trusted you with their lives get played with.
That he stressed is a certainty and the very foundation of life and hope.
He pointed out that there is an existing storm that is calling for a new dawn for Weija-Gbawe to experience the beauty of life.
Unfortunately, he claimed that the Weija-Gbawe has been living on unfulfilled promises and expectation for hope where the sun comes but does not shine brightly but I am here as a son of the soil not only to make promises to my own people but together we want to experience the new dawn of realities. Weija Gbawe will see the light of day again.
He noted that the people of Weija Gbawe are already hardworking, adding that a lot have established their own businesses and built their own houses but sit in fear when the rains are approaching.
"I feel sad when I see mothers fetching water from their rooms with their babies at their backs, children of school going age sitting home to help their mothers clean up the rooms, fathers leaving their shops to pack equipment and belongings they have laboured for. Companies count their losses and start thinking of evacuation and relocation.
"My question is, why relocate and where are you going? I sit and ask even if they relocate because of these floods, the level of unemployment that will hit the community, and they are now going to look for new customers.
Landlords who want to relocate in this time and age where one can hardly buy ten (10) bags of cement at a goal. Where will you start from? Is this not a national concern?, he asked.
According to him, the Weija - Barrier road is the only road that connects us to Kasoa through to the Central Region, asking that "Have these projects not been captured over the years?
Mincing no words, Mr Lamptey pledged to make it my priority come January 7, 2025, because I see it not only as a problem but also a security concern.
"We have sent engineers around and have already mapped out strategies on how to eliminate the problem. Like His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama said we will not wait till January 7th to start working, but we have already started. What are you leaving down for the majority of the youth? It is only a few that get the opportunity to work with companies, but the rest we can engage them in various trades," he added.
He noted that there is one thing "we often overlook, there is a lot of money in rendering services. We have already segmented the communities."
According to him, the youths of Weija Gbawe will not only be following politicians or waiting for politicians for jobs, but promised to work hard to ensure that he gets jobs for teeming unemployed youths to do.
He asserted that "I have been consistent in my plan to solve the challenges of Weija Gbawe Constituency, stressing that "I pray that the almighty use me to help my generation see the ‘New Dawn’. Weija-Gbawe will surely see a new Dawn with Felix Odartey Lamptey."
