Veteran Nollywood actress Ada Ameh has left many movie lovers heartbroken as she dies mysteriously.

The actress, known for her role as Emu in Africa Magic family drama, The Johnsons, died around 11:00 PM on Sunday in Warri, Delta State.

The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed the news to The PUNCH via telephone on Monday morning.

Her sudden death comes weeks after she revealed her battle with mental health illness, a condition she explained was taking a toll on her health.

Ada Ameh also disclosed that she was battling depression after the loss of her only daughter, Aladi God gift, who died in 2020 as a result of an unsuccessful surgery.

Ada Ameh died at the age of 48.

Ameh, who played the role of Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996, is famous for her comic characters, especially in the series ‘The Johnsons’.
 
Born on May 15, 1974, in Ajegunle, Lagos State, the popular actress had shared a video of herself eating with the family around 12:53 pm on Sunday on her official Instagram page before death came calling later at night.
