The Brazilian footballer has been ruled out in the Champions League knockout stage against Barcelona on Tuesday and is expected to recover before the second leg on March 10 at Parc de Princess.

Neymar has been ruled out of play for four weeks, PSG has confirmed.

The forward picked an injury on Wednesday evening against Caen in Paris Saint Germain’s French cup encounter.

The Brazilian is reported to have suffered a grade II tear in the adductor muscle in his left and has been ruled out of the Barcelona clash at Camp Nou on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

"Neymar Jr suffered a lesion to the left adductor on Wednesday evening. After analysis of clinical exams and scans, it is expected that he'll be out for around 4 weeks depending on the evolution of the injury," the club wrote.

His participation in the second leg is yet to be decided and would depend on how quick the player heals.

PSG will visit Camp Nou without Angel Di Maria also who has initially been ruled out against the Blaugranas.
