The National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East Constituency in the Central Region, Mrs. Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, has alleged that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has planned to take over the collection of property rate from the various district and municipal assemblies in the country.

But the 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Joseph Osei Owusu directed that the substantive Sector Minister be invited to the House to answer the question in connection of the allegations leveled against the government by the MP.
