President Nana Akuffo Addo has first made his first appointment of the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) at Sefwi Akontombra.

Honourable Amoah Yawson has been given the nod to continue his good works following the president's endorsement on his two-day working visit to the Western North Region.

There has been controversy at the selection of MMDCEs in the country of which many people are bashing the president for his inability to make appointments of leaders over the various Metropolitan , Municipal and District Assemblies. They have attributed the delay in development in the country to Nana Addo's long wait.

On his visit, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akontombra, Hon Djornobuah Alex Tetteh appealed to Nana Akufo Addo to maintain his incumbent District Chief Executive to continue the good works to enable them to win the seat once more during the 2024 elections.

President Akufo Addo did not hesitate and has reappointed him.
