National Caucus of former NDC PCs to partner parliamentary aspirants to annex power

The usual phenomenon where aspirants amongst political parties decide to contest on an independent basis due to their failure to clinch the bragging rights to lead their party will be a thing of the past within the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).

This is because a group calling itself the National Caucus of NDC Parliamentary Aspirants comprising parliamentary aspirants who lost the recent primaries have joined forces to support all 275 candidates to win their various constituents.

Formed with the framework of fostering unity among the ranks and file of aspirants and MPs unsuccessful at the recent primaries across the country, the group has done well to engage almost all aggrieved persons and followers to safeguard votes in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

At a press conference recently, the National Public Relations Officer(PRO) of the group argued that "Since 1992 to date, historians, political analysts, commentators, pundits will attest to the fact that governing parties that lose elections were mainly due to their inability to settle differences between contesting parties.

History could also tell us about the famous Professor Kwesi Botwe's Report after the 2016 elections as to how we lost power to the epileptic NPP government."

He sincerely observed that a general election is hard to crack, but believes that it is a battle that ought to be fought boot for boot while ensuring no stone is left unturned.

"Let us not therefore be competent that the hardship in the country could give us the win on a silver platter," the National Public Relation Officer, Reverend Batsa cautioned.

Mr. Batsa added "We are here today because partitions and divergence have been defeated to a resilient NDC in the history of the country's democratic dispensation.

He said his outfit has taken a bold step to heed the call by the former president and flag bearer, H.E. John Dramani Mahama after the primaries on the need to mend the differences rather than tearing oneself apart.

"We have consoled ourselves, we have encouraged ourselves, we have forgiven those who betrayed and disappointed us. We have resolved to work against any party member who decides to contest as an independent candidate in the crucial 2024 general elections, " he firmly disclosed.

He further assured," We have resolved to work for the party to win political power in 2024 and beyond to set the country free from the mess we see ourselves now.

"This is unprecedented in the history of Ghana as everything you see here; the arrangements, the organization, and the cost involved was financed by ourselves. We have been able to put ourselves together, put resources together, and organize ourselves to ensure peace and harmony in the party and are ready to work together to recapture power from the current NPP government," he said.

In conclusion, while sympathizing with the people affected by the Akosombo spillage, the Caucus is calling on the Akufo Addo-Bawumia government to do the needful to correct humanly engineered red act to avert the devastating effect on innocent Ghanaians as early as possible.
