Nana Opoku-Agyemang is a God-fearing Public Servant – Mahama praises Running Mate

The presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has eulogized his running mate for the upcoming 2020 general elections, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

Mahama, at the party’s National Executive Committee today [ Monday, July 6, 2020] announced former Minister of Education, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate.

Mr. Mahama suggested that the selection of Prof Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate is hinged on her impressive credentials and virtues.

Mahama,in a post on Facebook shortly after the announcement of his running mate, described Madam Opoku-Agyemang – whose nomination was unanimously okayed - as a God-fearing conscientious public servant.

“The National Executive Committee of our great party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) this afternoon, unanimously, endorsed my nomination of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as my Running Mate for the December 2020 election. Naana Jane is God-fearing, a distinguished scholar, a conscientious public servant, and a role model”, he wrote.

The National Communication Officer of the NDC has said that the reasons for what he described as a "historic choice" will be detailed in a statement that will be issued later by Mr Mahama.

"We are certain in our minds that this is a winning ticket. His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, ably supported by the competent, trustworthy, honest, sincere, matured Professor Naana Jane Agyemang will deliver victory for the NDC in the coming elections," he told the press.
