Nacho of Real Madrid has revealed that Mohamed Salah’s statement of Liverpool having closed the gap on Madrid since 2018 final, is true.

Salah was asked what has changed in the Liverpool team since they lost the 2018 final game to THE Los Blancos by Marca and according to him, “Since then, we've won the Premier League and the Champions League. We're winners. That's a big change.”

Ahead of the first leg of the competition on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Nacho revealed that the departure of Ronaldo and Liverpool winning the competition shows the greater job Jürgen Klopp has done.

"Salah did not tell any lie to MARCA," he said.

"Since that final, we have lost Cristiano and they are champions. But there is not that much difference.

"We enter the tie in a very good way. We are focused on our job."

Asked about in form Diogo Jota, Nacho told he isn't bothered whether it is the Portuguese or Robert Firmino who starts.

"The most important thing is in the head, to be mentally ready," he said.

"I like to think about myself, it doesn't matter who is up against me, whether it is Firmino or Jota.

"Their front three is spectacular, with a great rapport between them."
