North Tongu NDC Deputy Communications Hopeful Wishes All Aspirants for NDC Branch Executive Positions Well
The North Tongu Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy Communications hopeful in the Volta Region, Mr Wisdom Wilson Adzedakor, has wished all the NDC branch executive aspirants well and urged them to ensure a smooth, fair and transparent process during the election.
 
The NDC will from Thursday August 4, 2022 begin to hold its branch elections.
The election of officers to lead the party at the branch level is the first leg in the series of internal elections of the NDC.
According to the guidelines, approved by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress at its meeting on July 12, 2022, the elections have been divided into four zones–Northern, Middle, Southern, with the Ashanti and Eastern regions making up the fourth zone.
The Northern Zone comprises Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West regions.
The Middle Zone consists of Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Western, and Western North regions, whereas the Central, Oti, Volta, and Greater Accra regions constitute the Southern Zone.
The elections will be held in more than 38,000 branches of the NDC across the country – and the positions to be contested are: Chairman, General Secretary, Youth Organiser, Women’s Organiser, Branch Organiser, Treasurer, and two executive members.
In a press statement copied to Soireenews. com on Monday August 1, 2022 by Mr Adzedakor, he said, “I will take the opportunity to wish all candidates running for various positions well. The ultimate aim is to consolidate our party’s base at all levels. I am confident that the love for our party would guide all candidates to focus on the ultimate interest.”
"My best wishes to you all as the NDC undergoes re-organisation throughout the Constituency (Battor/Mepe Zone 4th August & Juapong Zone 5th August, 2022," Adzedakor who doubles as the former President of the Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the University College of Management Studies made the call in a press statement.
According to Mr Adzedakor, "this is a crucial exercise and I entreat all of us to attach seriousness to it."
He pointed out that "This phase will determine how the NDC will perform in the next national general elections. 
"On this note, I urge the delegates to choose credible, hardworking and virtuous people to manage the Branches at all levels.I wish you all a credible, free, fair, transparent and incident-free elections. 
"Thank you for your selfless service to the great NDC. I wish you all the best of luck. May God be with us all," Mr Adzedakor who also doubles as the former local President of National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) of the University College of Management Studies writes.
