The General Secretary of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Madam Deborah Freeman, has said her outfit is on the verge of dying under the leadership of the acting President of the union, Mr. Bessa Simons.

According to her, she is unhappy about the current tension and bitter conditions of service Mr. Simons has created within the Union.

She alleged that Mr. Simons has been peddling falsehood against her that she is sponsoring the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of MUSIGA, Mr. Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi, who has sued leaders of the Union for violating Article 11 of the MUSIGA Constitution.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Soireenews.com, Madam Freeman said Simons allegations against her are false and lack credibility.

She described him as childish, sounding a word of caution to him to stop the continuous habit of spoiling her name.

Mr. Bessa Simons, President of MUSIGA

"I have kept mute for so long over the behaviors and attack meted out to me by Mr. Simons and his cartels. They are now going public of spoiling my name to the effect that l am behind the court case of Ras Caleb Appiah-Levi against them.”

“It is time for me to address these issues of Mr. Simons because honestly l am fed up, l am peeved off with certain things.”

She maintained that the MUSIGA is currently in court because the Union has completely violated its constitution in preparations for an election.

She stressed that right from the year 2019 when they started planning for the elections the leadership of the Union didn't follow the provisions of the constitution of MUSIGA.

Madam Freeman stated that Mr. Simons should rather sit down and analyse the issue which compounded the violation of the provision of the Constitution of MUSIGA which had landed the Union in the grip of the law.
