MTTD to partner NRSA to educate drivers, commuters ahead of Easter 

As part of measures to reduce road accidents to their barest minimum, the Ghana Police Service and Motor, Transport and Traffic Directorate, MTTD together with Ghana Road Safety Authority will be embarking on a road safety sensitization program ahead of Easter celebrations.

As part of measures to reduce road accidents to their barest minimum, the Ghana Police Service and Motor, Transport and Traffic Directorate, MTTD together with Ghana Road Safety Authority will be embarking on a road safety sensitization program ahead of Easter celebrations.


 The Bono Regional MTTD Commander of the Ghana Police Service Supt. Stephen Tenkorang in an interview with Ark News monitored by Soiree News indicated that they will be visiting various lorry terminals, churches, and other places to educate drivers and commuters on road safety regulations. 
He advised drivers to keep to indicated speed limits and to avoid speeding in order to reduce carnage on the road. 
He also appealed to drivers to be responsible and heed directives and cater to the lives of the passengers they carry.
Supt. Stephen Tenkorang added that they will soon clamp down on the activities of pragyia in the municipality. 
He said it has come to their notice that pragyia riders are overloading, they are picking more than they are supposed to load. 
He cautioned the riders against such acts as they will clamp down on them soon.
