Most Ghanaian Languages Are Perishing - Rev. Opuni Frimpong.

Rev. Dr K. O. Frimpong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Christian Advocacy Africa and a former General Secretary for the Christian Council of Ghana has indicated that most Ghanaian languages are perishing from the system due to the attitude of tribalism.

He stressed the need for every tribe to feel proud of themselves to enable one to find space in the various societies.

Rev. Dr Opuni Frimpong was speaking during the celebration of the 50th Golden Jubilee of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Christ Congregation at Adweso Mile 50.

According to him, every society must be included in every aspect of life, something that would pave way for the needed respect it accords and due to this background, he said it is the potential of promoting peace and unity in the country.

Rev. Alex Owusu-Addo, Adweso District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana emphasized that, if we want Ghana to develop, then we must go back to our old traditions and customs and cherish what we have as a country.

The Adweso Mile 50 District Minister for the Church commended the leaders who fought hard to establish the Church at Adweso Mile 50 for its existence till its 50th-anniversary success.

He highlighted the rich tradition Ghana has had over the years but was worried it is not valued especially since most churches in the country don’t recognize tradition.
