Men Taking Advantage of No Toilet Syndrome to Share Toilet with Women at Assin Juaso.

Some women in Assin Juaso in the Assin Central Constituency in the central region have bemoaned uncomfortable situations they are going through as they share the same facility with men due to the lack of proper functioning toilets.

The one available is also in a very deplorable state with no roofing, the situation, they said has pushed some of them to resort to open defecation while others also use chamber pots and polythene bags but later empty them in streams.

The residents, therefore, expressed worry over the practices which they consider to be hazardous to their health, and fear that a deadly disease may break out in the area.

Therefore are appealing for public support to help resolve their plight as unceasing open defecation is causing serious health risks to the life of the residents. They therefore called on the Municipal assembly to their aid as well as the political authorities in the area.
