Medical Superintendent appeals for help to give Bechem gov’t hospital facelift

The Medical Superintendent of Bechem Government Hospital in the Ahafo region has revealed that the hospital is facing lots of challenges making their work at the facility difficult.

According to the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Emmanuel Agyei Darko, the hospital lack adequate machines at the theater and other machines at various departments to enhance their daily activities effectively as compared to other hospitals in the regions.

He is therefore urging the government, stakeholders, Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Service to as a matter of urgency revamp the facility to boost its standard of health care delivery.

He disclosed this at the time when a brand new phototherapy machine from the leaders of Bechem Local Council of Churches was presented to the Hospital to support the hospital in terms of health care delivery in the area.

He explained that apart from the inadequate equipment at the hospital, there are also monumental difficulties they need individuals, stakeholders, and the government to come to their aid to address the developmental situation at the Bechem Gov't Hospital.

Among other infrastructural deficits facing the Hospital includes the construction of new OPD (Out Patient's Department), Relative's Lodge, Expansion of Various Wards and Emergency rooms to accommodate more patients and accident victims since the hospital is located on a highway.

The Medical Superintendent, therefore, made a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Health as well as the citizens of Bechem to consider the plight of the Hospital to give it a facelift.
