They contend that they are the driving force behind projects in their respective electoral districts and should receive a share of the funding to successfully carry them out. 

According to David Attah Twim, president of the Concern Assembly, they have already communicated their desire to the government through the minister of local government, rural development, and decentralization. 

He suggests that despite the important role that assembly members play in the development of their communities, the government gives them less recognition. 

He thanks Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II, Paramount Chief of the Dormaa, for contributing his voice in support of the common fund for Assembly members. 

Assemblyman for Asensu Eric Yeboah Kyeremeh claims that many people, particularly those in rural areas, are unaware of the distinction between an assemblyman and a member of parliament (MP). 

To foster local growth, he suggests an allowance or a shared fund.
