The flood victims who were unexpectedly impacted by 33 out of 36 states in Nigeria are finally experiencing good fortune.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle Foundation have given an undisclosed sum of money to nonprofit organizations in Nigeria that are helping the flood victims who have been devastated.

The Archewell Foundation has given money to Save the Children and UNICEF, according to a news release.

The spokesman explained how the kind donations would “help provide relief following devastating floods wreaking havoc in Nigeria”.

According to reports, the flood has caused around 1.3 million people to be relocated, over 600 people have died, and over 2,400 people have been injured.

However, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, recently announced that she is 43% Nigerian, indicating that she has Nigerian ancestry.

Meghan revealed that she found she is 43% Nigerian after completing a genealogy test to learn more about her family’s ancestry.

Issa Rae, Emily Bernard, and Ziwe Fumodoh were her guests on the program as they explored their experiences as Black women in relation to the theme of “angry Black woman.”

The Duchess of Sussex claims she will look further since everyone she has told, particularly Nigerian women, “are like what!”
