Mason gets 20-years imprisonment for attempted gay act on minor
The accused Collins Sarfo, 38-years is a mason and he is a resident of Adansi Fomena.

The Asante Bekwai circuit court presided over by His Lordship Mark Tair-ima Diboro, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, sentenced a 38-year-old man Collins Sarfo to 20 years Imprisonment with hard labour for attempting to have unnatural carnal knowledge of a 16-year-old.
Prosecuting Officer, Detective Sargent Isaac Ofori Mensah narrating the incident said the complainant is the Assemblymember for Fomena Electoral Area, Mr Kusi Obodom and the victim is about 16years.
The accused Collins Sarfo, 38years is a mason and he is a resident of Adansi Fomena.
"About 3 weeks ago, the accused lured the victim who assists a relative, as a public toilet attendant to know him unnaturally yet the victim refused. Collins persisted in his evil quest by showing a pile of money he'll give him should he accept to have carnal knowledge through the anus.
"The victim did not accept the offer and informed his elder brother, Osman about it who in turn reported the conduct to the Assembly Member of the area. They agreed to lay ambush so they can catch the accused in the act.
"A week later on Sunday 17th October 2021 8:00 am Collins, showed up again.
"This time promising to give 30 cedis but will give 10 cedis for the licking of his penis and 20 cedis more after the act. The second attempt happened in a plantain farm nearby, little did Collins know that people were on his tail, he was caught after pulling down his shorts and pants."
The Ghana Criminal Offences Act 1960(29) Section -104- Unnatural Carnal Knowledge reads:
(1) Whoever has unnatural carnal knowledge-
(a) of any person of the age of sixteen years or over without his consent shall be guilty of a first-degree felony and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not less than five years and not more than twenty-five years; or
(b) of any person of sixteen years or over with his consent is guilty of a misdemeanour; or
(c) of any animal is guilty of a misdemeanour.
(2) Unnatural carnal knowledge is sexual intercourse with a person in an unnatural manner or with an animal.
Collins Sarfo is a married man with 3 children at Fomena in the Ashanti region.
