Three persons, with names yet to be identified, have died instantly at Asabaham a town within the Ga South Municipality after a private car runs over them.

According to an eyewitness, Gabriel Ahakye, a private car on top speed from Kasoa heading towards Asalaja struck down the three boys in an attempt to cross to another side of the road.

He said the incident happened at midnight and took the intervention of some residents to arrest the private car driver.

In response to this, residents of the area chanting war song, dress in red and black attire told the media that, they have given the Ga South Municipal one week to construct speed ramps to help save lives else they will block the main road from Kasoa to Amasaman.

Also, Gyaasehene of the area Nii Amafio said, from January to June more than 29 people have met their untimely death in an attempt to cross the road as all effort to call the Ga South Municipal Assembly to come to their aid have yielded no results.

He has however called on highway authorities as a matter of urgency to come to their aid before the youth take the law into their hands.
