Manhyia warns Ghanaians, "We don't want anyone to talk about Wontumi and Otumfour's issue again"

Ghanaians have received strong warnings not to bring up the controversy between Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu and politician Chairman Wontumi ever again.

Manhyia warns Ghanaians, "We don't want anyone to talk about Wontumi and Otumfour's issue again"

Following his declaration by Otumfour and the Ashanti kingdom's traditional chiefs that he was "wanted," Chairman Wontumi made an appearance at the Manhyia today.

The council's bantamahene, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, issued a dire warning to Ghanaians, telling them never to bring up the subject again.

"Remember that people are observing you, so watch what you say. We would prefer that this matter not be brought up again. All should put out their fires," he declared.

If the Kokosuhene want to be considered a chief, he counseled him to stay out of party politics.

We cater to all interested parties. Nana Kokosuhene needs to give up party politics going forward in order to save his stool. You're quite sorry that you caused this problem for yourself," he remarked.

When the matter came up, Chairman Wontumi was also chastised for specific remarks he had made.
