Manchester City has opened a potentially lengthy negotiation process to sign the Tottenham striker Harry Kane to beef their forward lines ahead of next season’s campaign.

According to the latest reports, the Premier League champions opening bid of £100million had been rejected by Hotspurs to sign their captain and talisman.

The English captain wants to leave Spurs this summer and the Premier League champions are at the front of the queue of clubs attempting to sign him.

The 27-year-old English International has now caught the attention of Man City and report reveals that City is prepared to enter into a lengthy negotiation process to land the Tottenham star who is currently representing England at Euro 2020.

Whilst Hotspurs are said to be reluctant to sell their star player under any conditions, their resolve may be tested by the Etihad outfit, who are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season.

Sergio Aguero left City this summer and the only recognized senior striker in City’s ranks is Gabriel Jesus with Kane the club’s preferred option to become their primary attacking option.

The England international wants to leave the North London club this summer and City now appear to be at the front of the queue to sign him.

Premier League heavyweights like Manchester United and Chelsea are also showing their keen interest in the English captain.

City are even said to be willing to include first-team squad players in an attempt to sweeten the deal for their Premier League rivals.
