“Napoli can win the competition. If you have a good plan and good players, you don’t have to be the best team in the world to win the UEFA Champions League. You have to perform at the right moment,” Klopp revealed in his post-match conference.

Ancelotti seem to disagree with what the utterance of the reigning Champions League winner. The Napoli coach ceased Klopp’s words and gave his own vision towards the competition as ‘a long way to go’ therefore, he is more concerned about advancing into the knock out stages.

“I thank Klopp for saying we can win this competition. But it’s a long way to go. Now we must think about progressing to the knockout stages.”

The three-time winner of the Champions League publicized his game plan as ‘a complete strategy’ against the best team in Europe.

“The strategy was to play a complete game. High pressure if possible, but also defending deeper if needed. We did everything well. We have to get used to the different moments of the game. When Liverpool were in control, we did well in defending and then took our chances. It was a very balanced game. So we did well, because I consider them the best team in Europe,“ he addressed.
