Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United will profit from the purchase of Romelu Lukaku by Chelsea.

The Inter Milan forward excelled in Italy after he ended up in the Serie A leaving Manchester United following his £75million deal.

Lukaku has racked up 47 goals in 67 appearances for Inter in the Italian League since joining in August 2019.

Following the player’s return to Chelsea in a €115m deal, Manchester United will earn around £3.3m from Inter Milan.

According to The Athletic, the Red Devils' sell-on clause initiated when they sold the striker to Inter relates to the total fee on the transfer rather than just the profit made.

This means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are due to a little windfall with Lukaku returning to the Premier League.

According to football transfer Guru, Fabrizio Romano, Lukaku will reunite with his former club, and the agreement is set to be completed after further talks with no player included.

Lukaku will sign a long-term contract for €12m + add ons.
