The confirmed District Chief Executive (DCE) for North Tongu District Assembly in the Volta Region, Mr Divine Osborn Kwadzo Fenu has been sworn into office by the Volta Regional Minister, Dr Letsa Archiebald Yao Letsa, with a promise to work hard to make the district a viable investment designation.

The programme, which was held in the Conference room at the Residency of the Regional Minister, Ho on Friday, October 15, 202, was attended by all the fifteen (15) confirmed District Chief Executives (DCEs) of the Region, District Coordinating Officers, Presiding members and high profile personalities of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Volta Region.

Speaking in an interview with some senior journalists, Mr Fenu who is described as a grassroots person-outlined his vision and promised that he would work with his presiding member, Togbe Korsi Hottor and other stakeholders to identify challenges, formulate and execute plans, programmes and strategies for the effective mobilization of the resources necessary for the overall development of the district.

Additionally, the DCE stressed that the Assembly members, chiefs and Member of Parliament (MP) shall be working together and forge ahead for the collective development of the North Tongu District Assembly in the interest of their constituents.

He acknowledged the solid foundational work done by his predecessors, especially the current outgone DCE, Mr Richard Collins Arku. 

He reiterated that "we shall build on your legacies and tap into your experiences as well, and I trust that your doors will remain open to us," he said.

He entreated the staff and other agencies of the assembly to work with diligence, devotion and professionalism, adding that“everyone needs to work with renewed attitude to ensure that going forward North Tongu scores the highest marks in all key performance assessment areas.”
