Kenyans warned against home DNA kits on sale online

Kenyan officials have issued a warning against unauthorized home DNA test kits that are being advertised for retail sale on digital sites.

It comes after discussion on social media about home DNA test collection kits that are being sold for 800 shillings ($6; £5), with an additional fee for lab results.

The authority claimed in a statement that it had not given any merchant permission to sell such kits.

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board urged customers to contact them if they discovered a merchant selling connected goods.
