Breaking news: Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE has died

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has died, state news agency WAM reported on Friday. 

The report said, he died peacefully after a short illness.

The Ministry of Presidential Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced official State mourning and flags at half-mast for a period of 40 days, starting from today Friday.

Official work will also be suspended in ministries, departments, federal and local institutions, and the private sector for three days.

Preparations for burials is currently underway at the sit of government.

The Northern part of Ghana Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Salam Ahmed on behalf of Muslims in the region has extended his condolences to the deceased family, and pray that Jannah should be his resting place.
