Kasoa Kas City Lions and Leos Club refurbish Kwami Anum Health Centre

Residents of Kwami Anum,a community within the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region,were thrown into a state of celebration at the generous donation from the Lions Clubs International District 418, which saw the transformation of their old health center.
The refurbishment project, made possible with the support of the Kasoa Kas City Lions and Leos Club, was a cause for celebration.
The president of the Kasoa Kas City Lions Club, Lion Darlington Oghenede, highlighted in an interview with the Soireenews. com. that the club’s decision to renovate the health center was driven by their commitment to serve community needs.
He shared a personal story of how his child received excellent care at the facility, inspiring the club to support its refurbishment.
During the ceremony, held on November 9, 2023, local dignitaries, health officials, and community members gathered to witness the fruits of this collaboration.
The event also featured health education campaigns and screenings for various diseases, along with opportunities for residents to renew or enroll onto the National Health Insurance Scheme.
The head of the facility, Madam Gertrude Quartey, called attention to the ongoing needs of the center, such as equipment upgrades and infrastructure improvements, to enhance healthcare delivery.
