Erstwhile German and Bayern Munich forward -- Jurgen Klinsmann has revealed that the German elites are astonished by Jadon Sancho's limited Euro 2020 game time.

Sancho has enjoyed extremely four productive years with the German giants - Borussia Dortmund since his move from Man City in the summer of 2017.

The development of the former Manchester City star has been highly impressive, notching a whopping 16 goals and 20 assists last season as Dortmund clinched the DFB-Pokal last month.

The Borussia Dortmund player’s impressive form also saw him included in Gareth Southgate's 26-man Euro 2020 squad this summer but he has struggled for opportunities in England's opening three fixtures, playing less than 10 minutes during the group stage.

This has been a shock to many fans across the nation and Klinsmann has revealed that football fans in Germany are equally as surprised with Jadon Sancho’s limited involvement.

“Sancho is huge in Germany because of what he has done with Borussia Dortmund and is seen as a big star in the Bundesliga.

“He is only 21 but he has been spectacular for the past few seasons.

"It is Sancho that Germany would fear at Wembley - if he plays. They know how good he is.

"What makes him such a special talent is his technical capability at a very fast pace, and he is fearless - he just goes at people.

“I love watching him because, when he gets the ball, he excites the fans.

"Of course, people who watch him for Dortmund expected him to get more of a chance at this tournament.

“He has had only six minutes of action so far, as a substitute against the Czech Republic but the same discussion you are having about fitting England's young talent in your team, we are having about Germany's emerging players too." Jurgen Klinsmann wrote in his BBC column.

Sancho will hope to be involved for Southgate's side for their last 16 clash with the Germans at Wembley on Tuesday afternoon.
