John Dumelo says that the majority of cocoa producers have never tried chocolate

John Dumelo, a well-known actor, politician, and farmer, has emphasized the importance of providing local farmers with logistics so they may be more competitive.

On Wednesday, October 26, he discussed this viewpoint during the 3business agriculture dialogue.

"We have to look at adding value to our products and also post-harvest losses," Mr. Dumelo said.

Even though the majority of cocoa growers have never had chocolate, we are the net exporter of cocoa.

The 2018 National Best Farmer, James Boateng, said during the event that Ghana needs to boost its agricultural output.

He asserted that using technology will boost productivity.

We aren't even using the limited technology we have, he claimed. Why we can't produce enough tomatoes and onions in Ghana to replace what we get from Burkina Faso is beyond me.

We have logistical problems.

We need to examine our inputs, he continued. Ghana 2019 performed fairly well in terms of input provision, which led to an increase in our maize production.
