24-year-old appeals for support to undergo spinal surgery after accident

The family of a 24-year-old boy, William Adu is appealing to the general public for GH 30.000 to undergo spinal surgery.

Adu completed Drobo Senior High School (SHS) in the year 2016 and came out successfully but had no assistance to continue tertiary education due to the lack of funds.

With his father later and mother 'unwell', he was determined to continue his education and so, he journeyed to Sunyani for a menial job to assist him to continue his education. He later joined some friends to labour to enable him to raise some money for his education at Tepa. 

On one faithful day after their usual work on a particular farm, they were returning home, rains catch up with them on the farm and a tree fell on him affecting his spine.

According to him, he spent about two months at Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, lying on his back throughout that period which caused his back to rot. Doctors advised him to undergo spinal surgery which will cost GH 30.000.

Adu William is appealing to the general public to come to his aid so that he can walk again to become the medical doctor he desires.  

The mother of Adu William appealed to the general public to help her son to get well again. She noted that her son has suffered in this one and half years. She said, helping her son to walk again will be a blessing.
