He attributes a large portion of his sudden success to none other than Sarkodie, the legendary rap artist from Ghana.

Safo Newman, whose song Akokoa is currently trending on many digital platforms, thanked Sarkodie profusely for expanding the audience for his music.

Akokoa, the new kid on the block, has had an explosive ascent to fame, topping the charts and generating a lot of momentum, especially after Sarkodie gave the song his backing and called it "a banger." 

In an exclusive conversation with Graphic Showbiz, Safo Newman acknowledged the impact Sarkodie had on his career and said that meeting the man he holds in such high regard as an idol would be the realization of a lifelong ambition for him.

He declared: "I can claim that his duet definitely gave my song more volume and even helped it become viral. Even if a collaboration does not materialize anytime soon, it will be sufficient to simply meet him in person and express gratitude. I truly hope we get to meet in person."

In honor of Valentine's Day, which is generally celebrated as a day of love, the singer-teacher has also released his most recent tune, Valentine. It's definitely one for the record books.
