Ghana Film Week kicks up on December 15

Among its many objectives, the week-long celebration seeks to establish a sustainable distribution system for locally produced Ghanaian films, foster and enhance the country's cinemagoing culture, and offer a platform for corporate expansion.

As Ghana Cinema Week gets underway, moviegoers in Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale will have the opportunity to see a variety of Ghanaian films, including Tetteh Quarshie (Heroes of Africa), The Heroines, Single Not Searching, Our Wife, and Oguaman. The Ghana Cinema Week has always been a useful way for selected Ghanaian films to be shown in cinemas across the country.

The Platinum Bay Hotel, Gold Coast Restaurant, Oyarifa Mall, The Page Center, Silverbird Cinemas, Royal View Cinema, Kumasi, and Tamale's Radach Hotel will all screen these chosen movies.

Apart from the movie screenings, Ghana Cinema Week functions as a lively center for several events, fostering enduring memories for attendees, who consistently get the chance to engage with actors and filmmakers.

Not only that, but it fosters a friendly environment where young filmmakers can meet and network with seasoned producers, who can serve as sources of inspiration and instruction.
