Ryan Giggs says he fears Manchester United would not be able to catch up  City and Liverpool anytime enough for the Premier League title.

The Wales coach believes the presence of Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola is impeding the chances of the Red Devils in their quest for their 14 Premier League title.

Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson seven years ago, United have missed out the League seeing Man City, Chelsea, Leicester and the recent Liverpool take hold of the prestigious title.

Jurgen Klopp’s arrival has brought about a great transformation in the Reds squad winning the Champions League, Super Cup, Club World Cup and breaking the 30-year jinx of winning the League.

The United legend is scared that the Red Devils might go through the same lengthy challenge.

“It could be 15, 20 years before you know it, especially if (Jurgen) Klopp and (Pep) Guardiola stick around,” he revealed whiles speaking to Jamie Carragher in an interview for his podcast – The Greatest Game.

“They have got the resources and the players so we have Liverpool to look at where the last time when they won it in 1990 they thought we'll win it again soon.

“Even Klopp took four and a half years for him to win it – it takes a long time. You have to think about what Klopp did.

“He improved the team every season or won a trophy like the Champions League and then you saw the improvement so the pressure was off a little bit.

“Every manager and signing is seen as that he will win us the league and it's not like that.”

Manchester United are 15 on the League table having played five, with a game in hand. They are yet to win a home game this season as they welcome Arsenal on Sunday at Old Trafford.
