I’m not chopping musicians’ money at GHAMRO – Rex Omar

Rex Omar, who was born Rex Owusu Marfo, is the board chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), and he has listed all of his duties for the company.

I'm the board chairman and not even a member of the management, so I don't wake up every morning to travel to GHAMRO to work because my responsibility is to take the lead in formulating policies, he claimed.

I don't go there every day because I have my own businesses that I run, so people must accept that, he continued, "to make sure the administration will apply the policies so that we can expand the organization.

He said, "Kojo Antwi came to do a bit and left and other people also came to continue so obviously I can't do it all so when I get to a certain degree I will also leave it eventually and look for someone to continue," in an interview with Kastle FM on the radio.

The "Obi Do Ba" hitmaker remarked during an interview with Amansan Krakye on the Kastle Entertainment Show that people who assume he solely works at GHAMRO to rip off musicians should be aware of better options.

That being the case, he continued, "those who think Rex Omar has nothing better to do and that his only goal is to sit at GHAMRO and be cutting musicians money should know otherwise.
