Diogo Jota has spoken that he is working hard to be back on the pitch to help his teammates continue to progress Liverpool.

The Portuguese has been out of action due to a knee injury sustained in the Reds Champions League fixture against FC Midtjylland in Denmark and has revealed his frustration at been excluded from matchday squads.

“Now I am supporting from the outside it is not easy - it’s even harder when you need to suffer as a fan and you can do literally nothing to help the team on the field!” Jota told Liverpoolfc.com.

 “But I’m doing my best to be back as soon as possible. Things are going well but knee injuries are always complicated so we cannot rush things, but I am doing well and I will be back on the field as soon as possible like I say.”

Liverpool recorded a 1-1 draw against Fulham and beat Spurs by 2-1 win at Anfield in the absence of Diogo Jota who has five Premier League goals in nine appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Red climbed to the top of the Premier League on Wednesday after defeating Jose Mourinho’s men and are looking forward to breaking their away jinx this season with a win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
