Celestine Donkor has tackled her critics who have condemned her for featuring secular artistes in her new track titled ‘Thank You’ (Yedawase).

The Gospel artistes argued that the fastest way to gain more audience is to employ Secular artistes, who have a large fan base that would not listen to gospel songs on a normal day.

This comes following her track that has been labelled as "inappropriate" on the gospel scene for featuring the likes of Maa Cynthia, Efya and Akwaboah, Celestine Donkor.

Gospel stakeholders were quick to point out that it is not proper for a gospel artiste to feature that many secular artistes in one song, as it taints the whole purpose and message of the song.

To the point where Christian media channels have decided not to play the song because she featured secular musicians.

Celestine Donkor has pointed out that the sentiments of the various stakeholders can only be described as backwards thinking.

She argued on her Facebook page that Gospel music is not for those who think they are righteous, rather, those who need the message to bless their lives.

"I HAVE BEEN BASHED FOR FEATURING SECULAR MUSICIANS ON THIS SONG .."

"THIS COMMENT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES BECAUSE -THIS IS THE REASON FOR WHY I DO GOSPEL MUSIC: TO DRAW SOULS FOR CHRIST.."

“They don’t like the song because I featured #Ewiasefour = (secular musicians)”

"Even Some Christian media channels have refused to play the song on their media because I featured “Ewisasefour(Secular musicians)”
