Amidst glowing insecurity within the Kpone Katamanso municipality in the Greater Accra Region, the Member of Parliament(MP) for the area, Mr.joseph Akuetteh Tettey for the area has reiterated his commitment to engaging relevant stakeholders to arrest the situation.
This, he said will repose confidence in the residents within the industrial hub to go freely about their normal business activities.
He was speaking in an exclusive interview with Soireenews.com recently at the sidelines of an event organized by the Kpone Katamanso constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) to deliberate on matters bordering the party in the constituency and the way forward towards the party's reorganization.
According to him, his outfit is working assiduously to safeguard the safety of the residents within the constituency.
The NDC MP stated that he is engaging the association of landlords and landladies to employ the services of watchdogs with minimal monthly stipends.
This, he indicated would help combat any ensuing danger from activities of armed robbery gangs terrorizing the people in the area.
He said some roads within the area which are incentives to police patrol were seeing some level of upgrade through his efforts.
To aid visibly in the area, he said some quantities of light bulbs have been made available to be fixed in these areas.
"I cannot blame the development drought in the constituency on the assembly since they have not received the common fund, so how can you see massive development,?" he quizzed.
He maintained that he has the best plans to develop the municipality even though his government was not in power but assured the constituent of his relentless commitment to lobby for the constituents' portion of the national cake.
He called on the constituents to rally behind him in the quest to make the area a coveted place of abode.
