Former Bayern Munich player and board member, Oliver Kahn has hinted that the German giants would not ascertain the services of any player in the upcoming transfer window.

According to him, the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected Bayern and could manage with their recent squad in the impending season.

Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to 10 points with a 5-0 thumping of Fortuna Dusseldorf at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, May 30, 2020, and are on the verge of securing the Bundesliga title.

Their squad is in better shape for next season and stands a chance of challenging for the European trophy this season after hitting three past Lampard's side at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the round of 16.

Speaking to Sky Germany, the potential CEO disclosed that the transfer policy for the majority of European clubs has changed and clubs won’t be eager to spend big for players in such a time.

"That could be an option and we are looking at everything at the moment, just like many other European clubs, I mean I don’t know about you guys, I haven’t noticed clubs being very eager to put together transfers right now. 

"We have to do something about the cost of personnel, that is very very difficult in professional football. 

"If the income goes down and the costs for personnel stays the same or you even extend contracts from some players and then this effect is not to be underestimated, so those are all things you have to think about. I think, at the moment it is in our best interest to approach this with a certain care."
