On Tuesday night, Barcelona welcome Athletic Club to the Camp Nou knowing that Gaizka Garitano's team could have a decisive say in the title race.

Quique Setien's side lost control of the title race by drawing with Sevilla at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Friday and Real Madrid now possess top spot on head to head.

Athletic will face Real Madrid in just under two weeks and have their own incentive to beat both of the top two as they fight for a spot in European football next season.

Barcelona knows the price of their draw with Sevilla last time out, dropping more points on the road where they have picked up just 22 points from a possible 45.

However, they're hoping for better against Athletic, who have not won in any of their last 17 visits to the Camp Nou, where they have managed just three draws and 14 wins.

Barcelona trust that another win against Athletic would keep the title race alive and they certainly aren't giving in.

That said, Athletic Club have defeated Barcelona 1-0 on two occasions already this season, once in the league and another time in the Copa del Rey.

Setien believes that his team can do it, but knows that they must improve in front of goal.

They'll have Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Antoine Griezmann available in attack, with Ousmane Dembele, Sergi Roberto, and Frenkie de Jong out injured.
