I Have No Hand In Teiman Road Property Demolition!—Nii Manle Dzahaa I Deny Allegations
Furthermore, the prominent Ga office ruler refuted claims that he was arrested, detained, and granted police bail when he was invited by the police in the Greater Accra Regional Police Command on Friday, June 5, 2026.
The Chief of Teiman Divisional Area in Accra, Nii Manle Dzahaa I, has denied allegations of teaming up with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, Ibrahim Faila Fusseini, to defy police orders and conduct unlawful demolitions in the area.

Furthermore, the prominent Ga office ruler refuted claims that he was arrested, detained, and granted police bail when he was invited by the police in the Greater Accra Regional Police Command on Friday June 5, 2026.
The chief provided the following clarifications regarding the ongoing disputes to respond to the allegations made by a resident of Teiman Burger Town, Mr Kingsley Kwafo Ottopah against him.
Mr Ottopah in a media reports pointed to what he described as serious acts of unlawful demolition, intimidation, defiance of police orders, and abuse of office involving Nii Manle Dzahaa I and the MCE for the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly.

But in a sharp response, Nii Manle Dzahaa I clarified that the government, through the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly, awarded the road construction contract and that, as a traditional leader, he has no direct involvement in the ongoing project. "I had no hand in this project. You can contact
the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Madina Constituency, Dr. Francis-Xavier Sosu, or the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly to find out if I have any involvement in the ongoing road construction work at Teiman," the Chief stated.
According to Nii Manle Dzahaa I, he was invited alongside government officials—including the MP, the MCE, the Municipal Assembly’s Coordinating Director, and community members—to officially perform the sod-cutting ceremony for the commencement of the project.

He explained that as the traditional leader of Teiman, the government and the Assembly are required to inform him and his elders before undertaking any social and infrastructure development projects in the area.
He pointed out that attending the sod-cutting ceremony was his only role in the project and outrightly denied having any involvement in its execution.
Furthermore, the Chief dismissed allegations that he brought in a contractor to demolish properties to make way for the road.
He also denied allegations that he teamed up with the MCE to defy a police order and demolish properties situated on the land designated for the Teiman road network.
"This is completely untrue. It is a malicious publication intended to tarnish my hard-earned reputation, and I call on the general public, particularly the residents in Teiman to disregard this fabricated story," the Chief reaffirmed.
He stressed that "I had absolutely no hand in the project," the Chief explained.
"That is false," the Chief stated. "Last Thursday, June 4, 2026, I received information that court notice was going to be posted on my wall, requiring my presence at the Adenta Court.
"I am yet to hand these documents over to my lawyer to respond to the lawsuit or summons, he disclosed.
The Chief reaffirmed that he is completely detached from the execution of the project, providing photographic documentary evidence showing his attendance at the sod-cutting ceremony alongside the MP, the DCE, and various community members to support the road construction work.
He noted that the road alignment passes through a property belonging to resident named Kingsley Ottopah, placing the wall of his house directly in the middle of the earmarked road.
He stressed that Kingsley Ottopah and other homeowners more ten people built their walls onto the land earmarked for the Teiman road network by the Assembly.
According to him, before the commencement of the road project, the contractor through the Assembly marked all structures, including boundary walls, built within the proposed construction corridor and instructed the affected homeowners to remove them.
He stated that while the majority of the homeowners complied with this directive, Mr. Kingsley Ottopah refused to do so.
Instead, he threatened the Assembly by boasting that he is employed at the Jubilee House.
He said that it was their walls which constructed on their houses on the land earmarked for the road project which were demolished by the Assembly.
The chief noted that that portions of the land were sold to the homeowners by the individual family members saying the Teiman lands aren't stool lands under Teiman Divisional Stool but are individuals who own the lands at Teiman.
In summary, Nii DzDzahaa l noted the government, through the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly, awarded the project to the contractor, who is currently on-site executing the work.
He called on the residents in the area to remain calm and to continue supporting government efforts aimed at accelerating development projects and improving road infrastructure networks in Teiman and its adjoining communities."
However, Mr. Kingsley Ottopah has responded, standing by his earlier statement, which highlighted serious incidents of unlawful demolition, intimidation, defiance of police directives, and abuse of office involving Nii Manle Dzaha I and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly.
Mr. Ottopah noted that he had originally sought to purchase a parcel of land in Teiman, near Oyarifa, Accra, in 2004.
He explained that in 2005, the acting Head of the Kpobi We Family, Eric Adjei Mensah (also known as Nii Atiso), offered him a parcel of land and provided a site plan.
After verifying with the Town and Country Planning Department that the land was not located on a road, waterway, or public property, he finalized the purchase.
He was duly issued an indenture and site plan, and the land was registered with the Ghana Lands Commission. He lived on the property peacefully for over a decade.
However, he disclosed that following the installation of a new chief, Nii Manle Dzahaa l he was pressured to repurchase the same land, leaving him with two conflicting documents for the identical parcel.
Detailing a recent case of unlawful demolition and intimidation, Mr. Ottopah stated that on April 4, 2026, the Chief of Teiman allegedly sent land guards to destroy his building materials, including a 20-foot container.
This container was being used to store supplies for rebuilding a perimeter fence wall that a neighbor had previously and unlawfully demolished in 2024.
He reported the incident to the Ayi Mensah Police Station. Because the local police were unable to arrest the land guards, the case was transferred to the Greater Accra Regional Police Command for further investigation.
Mr. Ottopah stated that since then, the chief and his land guards have evaded arrest.Mr. Ottopah further alleged that in 2026, the chief diverted urban road contractors—who were executing a government-approved drainage project in Teiman—to his property in Burger Town, destroying his property and those of other residents.
Mr. Ottopah is demanding that the Chief, the MCE, and the Member of Parliament (MP) clarify to homeowners and the general public whether an approved road existed before the elders of the Kpobi We Family sold the disputed land to developers.
He is specifically asking the authorities to confirm whether the road network is a legally approved route or if it was arbitrarily mapped out within the official layout of the La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly.
Furthermore, Mr. Ottopah wants to know exactly which Town and Country Planning layout was used to justify the sale of these lands to ten individual developers.
He pointed out that several building structures on the land—including two stores belonging to a Mr. Nicholas—have already been demolished.
He emphasized that this specific enclave in Teiman lacks a government-approved road network. According to Mr. Ottopah, while there is a long-standing traditional layout governing the Teiman area, "The landowners have sold plots based on that original layout, with the understanding that the demarcated routes are meant to serve as legitimate roads for community development."
He questioned how the Chief of Teiman, Nii Dzahaa l could issue an indenture and site plan under the Teiman Divisional Area Stool if the chief claimed he was not the one who directly sold the disputed land to those affected by the road construction.
Mr. Ottopah has issued these documents, saying that the chief has completely incriminated himself and contradicted his own claims.
Presenting documentary evidence bearing the chief’s signature and official seal, Mr. Ottopah asked, "Does this mean the land documents are fake?"
Regarding the arrest of the chief, he insisted that the chief has been invited to the Greater Accra Regional Police Command, which serves as a formal procedure in this respect
However, several efforts to get the MCE and MP to clarify the allegations leveled against them were unsuccessful.
They failed to respond to calls and WhatsApp messages sent to them."
