I am the reason why Sarkodie and Stonebwoy are now respected—Shatta Wale

In an interview discussing his distaste for media figures Abeiku Santana and Andy Dosty, Shatta Wale stated that he has made significant contributions to the Ghanaian entertainment sector and should be given credit and recognition for his achievements.

According to Shatta Wale, despite his flaws as a musician and the many feuds and altercations he has had with other musicians, he is the reason Ghanaian musicians are currently leading glamorous lives.

According to the singer, Ghanaian musicians were underappreciated, destitute, and despised prior to him beginning their careers.

He claims that compared to today, musicians from the past, including Daddy Lumba, Nana Ampadu, and Amakye Dede, were paid less and their brand was not given as much importance.

He says that by teaching artists like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and others how to properly market themselves and demand a high price, he has greatly aided Ghanaian musicians.

We should discuss our growth so that the younger generation can benefit from it. We are evolving. Ghanaian music does not hark back to a time when its artists were impoverished. As of right now, I've cleared the path, so people will appreciate Sarkodie and Stonebwoy when they see them. I have completed a great deal things for the industry, he said.
