Head on Collision at Yilo Krobo leaves Passengers with Severe Injuries.

Two Hyundai buses with registration numbers GR-2708-11 and GR- 3659-11 respectively plying  Medina-Somanya highway on Wednesdays March 2, 2022, at 6:50 pm involved in a head-on collision at Trom a suburb of Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern region.

Interactions with the eyewitnesses and other passengers who spoke to the media said, a red-colored Hyundai driver's name was withheld with registration number GR- 3659-11 who was coming from Medina did an unlawful overtaking leading to a crash with another vehicle heading towards Medina leaving passengers with serious injuries.

The other Hyundai vehicle with the registration number GR- 2708-11 with blue paint was transporting traders from Agormanya market in the Lower Manya Krobo to Medina in the Greater Accra region where the accident occurred.

The driver and his mate who caused the accident took to their heels after they survived.

According to another mate of the affected vehicle, he cannot bear the damage caused if not by the grace of God the driver has taken up their lives.

A woman who's is yet to be identified sustained serious injuries on his legs and has been rushed to Atua Government Hospital in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality for treatment.

Other passengers who sustained minor injuries have been sent to Somanya Polyclinic for further treatment.
