Gyakie is the first musician from Ghana to appear on an Apple Music home session.

Songbird Gyakie, the first Ghanaian musician to be included in Apple Music's Home Session series, has once again brought attention to Ghana.

This session by Apple is part of a unique series launched during Lockdown, where musicians are encouraged to record from their homes, redesigned stripped-back versions of some of their songs, as well as a cover of any other song of their choice.

Gyakie played three songs from her "My Diary" EP during her session. She performed a Reggae rendition of her soulful song "Far Away" and a nice clean rendition of the Highlife ballad "For My Baby" before turning "Waka Waka" into an electrifying Rock cover.

Gyakie gave a flawless rendition of the well-known and adored song "Where My Baby Dey" by Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall performer Samini, formerly known as Batman Samini, as a tribute to one of her influences.

The Flip The Music signed artist is described by Apple Music as saying, "These songs are meaningful to me because of how soulful they are," when asked why she chose them.

When asked about the effect the lockdown during the COVID-19 epidemic had on her profession, she responded, "Lockdown taught me to work twice as much as usual. I also used a variety of resources to expand my creative range.

I improved my speed of work and increased my confidence in my voice.

I also had the opportunity to learn new things, which I have since integrated into my writing, recording, and overall technique.

Gyakie has achieved success with her songs on numerous international charts since the Lockdown.

She has developed into a nominated and winning artist who is expected to become one of Ghana's most well-known artists on a global scale.

Gyakie has experienced a rollercoaster over the past two years. Her big single, "Forever," reached the top of the charts in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria.

At one point, it was the song with the most Shazams, and it peaked at the top of Billboard's Top Triller Global.

She signed a contract with Sony Music and RCA, UK, in March 2021. She participated in the Grammy Herbal Tea session only a month ago.

With all these successes and achievements, the quality of her music never dropped but grew bigger and better.
